Finishing Strong

Today is Mardi Gras and is usually thought of as a day of excess. While we are still trying to control the spread of COVID-19, we need to direct our pent-up energy to new creative activities which do not bring large groups together in close spaces. If New Orleans can cancel parades, close bars, and scrap outdoor concerts, we can also act responsibly. Most of our staff has been vaccinated but it is still under review if they can transmit the virus to others or how variant strains will impact our community. We are committed to continuing all our previous protocols: wearing a mask on campus, observing social distance, washing hands, sanitizing shared surfaces, monitoring our symptoms daily, and tracking exposures.  Please check out recent CDC updates related to masks and staying safe.

Many schools are trying to reopen, and we are grateful that we have been able to offer full time on-campus learning to our families since September. Your willingness to be cautious and conscientious has kept our school infection rate very low (3%) and protected classmates, staff and other family members. Let’s work together to continue this trend through the end of the school year.
