1) Houston Johnson (Seminar class of 1996 and Extended Studies Program class of 2000) was recently interviewed for the program “With Good Reason” on public radio where he discussed his research on the history of American aviation. He is an Assistant Professor of History at Virginia Military Institute. You can listen to the podcast at https://soundcloud.com/withgoodreason/when-america-took-to-the-air. There are several interviews on the podcast—Houston appears in the intro, with his full interview following a short piece on “Dr. Who.” Houston and his wife, Kachina, welcomed a new son, McMillan, in September.

2) Paige Johnson (Seminar class of 1999) has moved to England to pursue a second masters in Biodiversity and Conservation and Management from Oxford University. She finished her first masters in Scientific and Technical Writing and Editing from Drexel University this past summer. Paige has lived in Los Angeles for the past eleven years.

3) Whet Moser (Seminar class of 1994 and Extended Studies Program class of 1998) is the Assistant Digital Editor at Chicago Magazine, the largest city-regional monthly magazine in the country. He was previously the Web Editor at the Chicago Reader. Whet holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from The University of Chicago.

4) Eliza Temeles Slone (Seminar class of 1998) is the Vice President, Strategy, for MKDM in Charlottesville, a multichannel fundraising agency working with regional and national nonprofit organizations. Eliza holds a B.A. in English from Amherst College.
